ELSD financial report
Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 117.38, the annual financial report for the East Liverpool City School District has been completed and is available for public inspection. The report may be reviewed during regular business hours at the treasurer’s office, 810 W. Eighth St.
EL Junior High, High School holiday concert Sunday
The East Liverpool Junior High and High School choirs will present a holiday concert at 3 p.m. Sunday in the ELHS Fieldhouse. The participating ensembles include the 7th grade chorus, 8th grade chorus, Cadet Choir, Chamber Choir, and Potter Blues Show Choir. Accompanists include Jan Stover, Mary Jean Ludwig, Pat Will, and Garrett Cooper and featured soloists are Gemma Messenger, Nolan Irving, and Melody Kirbaugh. Song titles include Frosty the Snowman, Rutter’s Angels Carol, and Who Would Imagine a King. Alumni that has performed Hallelujah Chorus in the past will be invited on stage for the finale performance. There is no admission cost. Seating will begin at 2:30 p.m.
Be a Santa to a Senior
Home Instead, 5239 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, will host its Be a Santa to a Senior Wrapping Party from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11 and Friday, Dec. 12. Donate wrapping paper or tape to be entered to win a prize. RSVP to 330-729-1233.
Lisbon Banquet Dec. 8
The Lisbon Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the Lisbon Banquet from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at New Lisbon Presbyterian Church. The menu will include meat loaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, rolls, assorted Texas sheet cakes and assorted beverages. Carry-outs after 6 p.m. if available.
Homemade candy fundraiser
The Knox Ruritan Club is conducting a homemade candy fundraiser, with all proceeds going toward the concrete pad for the dumpster. Homemade caramel pecan turtles and dark chocolate covered deluxe mixed nuts are available for $1 per package. For orders call Beckie at 330-348-3541 or any member of the Knox Ruritans.
Christmas melodies concert
John Reese, his Varnel 5 and vocalist will perform a free concert of Christmas melodies at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10 at the Salem Community Center, 1098 N. Ellsworth Ave., Salem.
