Perry voters select familiar and new names for trustee
PERRY TOWNSHIP — Township voters retained incumbent Tony Ieropoli and selected newcomer Russ Sinsley to serve as Perry Township trustees in Tuesday’s general election.
Ieropoli and Sinsley secured their seats among a field of five candidates. According to complete but unofficial results, Ieropoli secured the most votes with 1,452 (26.97%) voters casting their ballots for him. Sinsley secured the second most votes with 1,224 (22.74%) votes, followed by incumbent Jim Armeni with 1,203 (22.35%) votes, Billy Davidson with 975(18.11%) votes, and Austin French receiving the least votes with 529 (9.83%).
Ieropoli has served as trustee since 2022. A 1977 Salem High School alum, Ieropoli is a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Salem AMVETS Post 45. Ieropoli was also appointed to serve as the head of the Emmanual Lutheran Church’s property division, a position he has served in for the last two years and worked for the Perry Township Road Department for 30 years prior to his retirement.
Sinsley is a 2000 Salem High School alum who has worked in the auto-mechanics, towing and salvage industry for over 25 years.
