Gingerbread House for a Cause on Dec. 6

4-H program hosting event for canned goods donations

The Columbiana County 4-H Program invites families and community members to join in the holiday fun at the 2nd Annual Gingerbread House for a Cause event from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Dec. 6 in the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, located at 114 E. Washington Street, Lisbon.

Enjoy cookies and milk with Santa Claus, admire an assortment of creative gingerbread houses, and vote for your favorite design–all while giving back to the community.

Families will receive one voting ticket for each non-perishable or canned good donation brought to the event.

All collected items will benefit the First United Methodist Church Community Food Pantry, helping local families in need during the holiday season.

“This event brings together the spirit of giving and creativity,” said Audrey Dimmerling, 4-H Youth Development Educator. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy a festive morning while making a difference in our community.”

The Gingerbread House for a Cause event celebrates the holiday season through service, creativity, and community engagement–values that are at the heart of the 4-H program.
