SALEM — Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) has been selected to Becker’s Hospital Review magazine’s prestigious list of the 386 Cleanest Hospitals in the United States. This national recognition highlights SRMC’s unwavering commitment to maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for patients and visitors.

The list was developed using data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey. SRMC earned five-star ratings for cleanliness based on patient feedback collected through surveys completed from Oct. 1, 2023- Sept. 30, 2024.

Hackstedde, M.D., SRMC President/CEO. “There are over 4,000 hospitals in the United States that participate in the HCAHPS survey, and SRMC was one of only 18 Ohio facilities to make the list of cleanest hospitals.”
