Do you like what you see in Firestone Park today? Would you like the restored park to be maintained and cared for at the present level?
JOIN US AND BECOME A MEMBER OF “FRIENDS OF FIRESTONE PARK!”
Many visitors to the park this year have expressed an interest in helping the Firestone Park Cultural and Custodial Committee and maintenance staff with their work.
We are pleased and excited to have community involvement as we build on the many new features and plantings in today’s park. IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS EXPRESS YOUR INTEREST IN HELPING US, COME TO A MEETING ON: Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. at The Firestone Legacy and Visitors Center, 246 E. Park Ave.
Are you a regular visitor to the park and have seen how beautiful it is?
Would you like to know more about the park’s landscape, the diversity of plants, trees, flowers, shrubs and groundcovers?
Would you enjoy guiding visitors through the park’s landscapes and gardens?
Would you like to take advantage of special landscape seminars and presentations?
Would you like to become a team player in the park’s flower garden installation, and care as well as deciding the choice of flowers?
Would you like to help and promote the committee’s cultural, educational and entertainment events?
Would you like to help us promote the park as a garden and landscape refuge as well as a recreational area?
Would you like to become a mentor to young people helping them appreciate nature and the history of the park?
Would you like to learn more about how the park is funded and what options are available to make sure it is properly maintained?
Would you like to have an opportunity to voice concerns about issues related to the park’s operation and offer ideas for its growth and improvement?
