Ramp closure

Starting today, the U.S. Route 30 eastbound ramp to state Route 7 south will close for work related to the ongoing 9th Street bridge replacement project. This closure will be in place for one week. Traffic will continue east on U.S. Route 30 to exit at Jackson Street to return to U.S. 30 east for state Route 7 south.

Trappers workshop

Ohio State Trappers Association will be holding its annual trappers workshop at Highlandtown Wildlife Area at 16760 Spring Valley Road, Salineville on Oct. 25 and 26. To register call Vern Snyder at 330-692-6299.

Woodfired chicken dinner

New Garden Methodist Church, 7165 state Route 9, Hanoverton, will hold a woodfired chicken dinner drive thru from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 19. The meal will include half a chicken, baked beans, cole slaw, roll and butter, homemade brownie for $15.

DAHS Hall of Fame

The Lisbon Alumni Association is accepting nominations for the David Anderson High School Hall of Fame. Nominations must include the name of the nominee, the year of graduation, the nominee’s contact information and reasons the individual should be added to the Hall of Fame. Nominations must be signed by the person submitting the nomination and include contact information. Nominations should be mailed to: Lisbon Alumni Association, P.O. Box 421, Lisbon, OH 44432. The deadline for nominations is Dec. 15, 2025. The induction dinner will be held in late April 2026.

Matilda The Musical

The Columbiana Arts Theater, 5 N. Main St., will present Matilda The Musical at 7 p.m. Oct. 10, 11, 17 and 18, and 2 p.m. Oct. 12 and 19. That Quilt Group I Belong To

That Quilt Group I Belong To (TQGIBT) will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 21 at The Rotary Building at Fair Park on Oak Street in Canfield. This month’s program will be focused on quilting notions. Bring a favorite notion to praise, a least favorite notion to criticize, or a Mystery notion to find the answer to, “What is this and how is it used?” The kits for Christmas Stockings will be ready and available at this meeting. Guys and Dolls at LPPAC

Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center in Midland opens its 2025-2026 Clearview Federal Credit Union Subscription Series Find Your Way! with the comedy classic Guys and Dolls in the MainStage Theater. Family & Friends Day

Salem Bible Methodist Church, 1647 N. Ellsworth Ave., will host Welcome Family & Friends Day at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 26. The service will include preaching and singing by Dan and Michelle Durkee.
