CWC poinsetta sale now through Nov. 20
The Columbiana Women’s Club (CWC), a civic organization operating a century house on North Main Street in historic Columbiana, is holding its 2025 Poinsettia Sale now through Nov. 20. Cost is $15 per 6-inch plant; color options include pink, red or white. Orders are due by 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20. To place a poinsettia order, contact Sherry at 330-482-3198. Pick-up details provided at time of order. Payment is due at pick-up; cash and checks only. Businesses, religious organizations, civic clubs, restaurants, etc., can order in bulk (delivery available for bulk purchases within Columbiana). Finding Nemo Jr.at Lincoln Park
Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center in Midland continues its 2025-2026 Clearview Federal Credit Union Subscription Series Find Your Way! with Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. in the MainStage Theater for six performances — Friday, Nov. 14 to Sunday, Nov. 16, and Friday, Nov. 21 to Sunday, Nov. 23. Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. is a 60-minute musical adaptation featuring the escapades of lovable characters Marlin, Dory, Crush, and of course our story’s hero, Nemo! With new music by the award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (Frozen), Finding Nemo JR. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure. With tickets starting at just $18, this one-hour performance (with no intermission) is the perfect show for the entire family. Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center is excited to be partnering with the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium to mutually promote Finding Nemo JR. and the Zoo’s upcoming Wild Illuminations: A Holiday Lanterns Experience opening on Nov. 22. Lincoln Park will also be making available to patrons a themed refreshment at the cafe during all performances of Finding Nemo JR. with proceeds to be donated to the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium to support their mission to make the world better for wildlife and to be leader in uniting people to take conservation action. WB Area Ladies Ruritan Club talks candles
The West Branch Area Ladies Ruritan Club met Oct. 20.
Bev Yaggi introduced Jodi Prendergast of Rustic Candles and Unique Gifts in Sebring. She makes scents to spray and scented candles. She gave an instructions on how to burn candles so the jar does not turn black. She has some classes on candle making and making pictures with cracked glass. Her phone number is 330-257-8280.
John Biery visited as leadership.
President Robin Mayer called the meeting to order and started it with the pledge of allegiance to the American flag and singing of “God Bless America.” Viola Blanchard read the devotions.
Sandy Bates read the minutes. Jean Zion read the treasurer’s report. The Fall Convention is Nov. 8 in Smithville, Ohio.
The club will be ordering books for third graders at West Branch. All five clubs will participate.
The officers for 2026 include: President Robin Mayer, Vice President Bev Yaggi, Secretary Joann Pinkerton and Treasurer Jean Zion.
Mayer served the refreshments.
Tops 1341 meets
Tops 1341 met at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church on Oct. 27 with Mary Gailey, leader, presiding. Darla Varney and Gailey were the best losers. Dorothy Garn was runner up. They chose deep fried foods and pie as the junk foods for the coming week.
The drawing winners were: 50/50, Cheryl Myers; junk food, Dena White; food chart, Gailey; and weight loss, Garn.
Gailey lost three weeks in a row and Darlene Naukem was eight weeks in the attendance record. Pat Allison holds the travel box. There are three members remaining on the check.
The new contest, Loser Lotto, begins next week. White initiated a discussion on her journey with Tops and all members were encouraged to share their own experiences with Tops organization.
The meeting opened with pledges and closed with prayer concerns and The Lord’s Prayer.

West Branch WLC Club holds October meeting
West Branch Area Ladies Ruritan meets
The WLC Club met on Oct. 21 at the Living Well Church with leader Mary Jarvis opening the meeting with prayer given by Mary Schmidt and then roll call was taken by the leader.
The best loser was Linda Seevers and Donna Lee wore the officers ribbon. Gladys Buzzard won the challenge and Barb Tranter won the 50/60 drawing. Tranter and Lee both had three weeks worth if weight loss.
The nono is potato chips.
Lee’s birthday was celebrated with a card shower.
Jami Spring was the winner of the flower vase contest. The other winners were Alice Eckstein, Barb Q and Nancy Hart.
Lee gave the treasurer’s report and Brenda Young read the minutes. Both were approved as read.
Next week is the Halloween party and members are to bring back their decorated pumpkins and may also dress up.
Tranter read a funny and then Jarvis closed the meeting.
