LISBON – Stage Left Players will bring side-splitting laughter to the Trinity Playhouse this October with Larry Shue’s award-winning comedy The Foreigner. Performances run October 4-19, with shows on Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.

Directed by Elsie Kibler, The Foreigner tells the story of Charlie, a painfully shy Englishman seeking peace and quiet at a fishing lodge in rural Georgia. To avoid social interactions, his friend concocts a scheme: let the locals believe Charlie doesn’t understand English. The plan works a little too well, as the lodge’s colorful residents begin revealing their deepest secrets and wildest schemes right in front of him–leading to hilarious misunderstandings and unexpected twists.

The talented cast features Ryan Gillis as Charlie, Eric Kibler as Froggy, Patti L’Italien as Betty, Dominic Meyer as David, Connie Baer as Catherine, Lydon Freeman as Ellard, and Aaron Newell as Owen.

Admission is $15 for adults and $13 for students and seniors. Tickets are available online at stageleftplayers.ludus.com.

Stage Left Players is grateful for the generous support of the Ohio Arts Council, Consumers Bank of Lisbon, and the Lisbon Lions Club, as well as many community sponsors who make productions like The Foreigner possible.
