After falling behind schedule and ballooning over budget, the $25 million park project is making strides. Excavation is currently ongoing for the new aquatic center and Olympic-sized pool and piping is being installed. Other pool related work underway or anticipated to begin soon is the installation of a stone under the pool bottom reinforcement of the bottom and walls, installation of plumbing components and a surge tank for the pool. Other current project work includes working through punch-list items and the installing hand railing at the stage of the amphitheater. Demolition of the Rainbow Dreamland playground will begin soon.
