LISBON — The Lisbon Lions Club has stepped up in a big way to support Stage Left Players’ latest youth production, Sideways Stories from Wayside School, running for three shows only this weekend at the Trinity Playhouse, 234 E. Lincoln Way, Lisbon.

This play, performed by 14 youths in grades 5 to 9, is directed by Christine Martin and promises to bring the wacky, upside-down world of Wayside School to life. Performances are set for Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Martin shared her heart for this special project: “I saw a real need for a non-musical production for our tweens, to give them the chance to grow as performers. But more importantly, this show has given them the opportunity to make new friends in an accepting, nurturing environment. Stage Left Players is a place these girls have found home — they belong here, and they know it.”

Tickets are available now through Stage Left Players at stageleftplayers.ludus.com.

This production is also made possible through the generous support of Consumers Bank and the Ohio Arts Council.

Starting at $2.99/week.
