Audbon Society meeting

The Audbon Society/Mahoning Valley will hold its monthly meeting Sept. 23 at the Austintown Senior Center, 112 Westchester Drive. Social time starts at 6:30 p.m. with the program at 7 p.m. Jason Short, president of Audubon Society of Mahoning Valley and an Ohio certified volunteer naturalist, will present the program, Shorebirds of Ohio. Learn what Shorebirds breed in Ohio, which are just passing through and when and where to find them.

Banquet in Salem

Friends of the Banquet will sponsor the Dine in or Drive Thru Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone Monday at the Salem Memorial Building. The menu will include chicken pattie sandwich, scalloped potatoes, applesauce, green beans, fresh vegetables and fruit, and peaches. Dine in will park in designated area behind the building and proceed to front door. Drive thru will line up in lot behind the building; one meal per individuals in the vehicle.
