Columbiana Street Fair
American Legion Post 290 utilizes its annual Columbiana Street Fair for various fundraising opportunities over the three-day event for its charities. In addition to its food trailer, which serves its infamous Legion Burger, the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 290 offers bingo play with winners either eligible to win $10 per game or a larger pot at the end of each night. Kissel Amusement provided the carnival rides for the three-day Columbiana Street Fair this past week. Each year, street fair organizers host several hours in late morning and early afternoon of food and fun for special needs fairgoers at no charge. This is by invitation only and entitles the guests to a private time at the event with accompaniment by volunteers. This event also includes a Firemen’s parade to kickoff the event Thursday, food trailers and area groups utilize the event to fundraise for their own pet projects. Organizers hope to have a stage next year, so they can add live music. (Photo by Stephanie Ujhelyi)
