— Officers responded to the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 12:31 p.m. Thursday for a report of telecommunications harassment. The caller has previously filed a report against the same person who is violating their bond agreement by talking to the caller. The caller advised that they’ve told the person to stop contacting them multiple times and has blocked their number and social media and they keep making new numbers. They also advised that the person had begun texting their children. Officers advised the caller that the incident would be sent to the prosecutor’s officer to review for charges.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of North Cunningham Road at 10:59 a.m. Thursday for a wellness check on a man staying in the hotel. Officers were advised that the man had checked out about an hour before officers arrived.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of Granite Avenue at 9:05 a.m. Thursday for a reported person to be removed. Officers were advised that the residence had been condemned and that there were people and animals inside. Officers found six individuals and five dogs living inside the residence and advised them that they were not permitted to be living at the residence, and to gather their belongings and leave. They were also advised that they were permitted to be there during daylight hours to clean but must make police aware. Officers contacted the humane agent for two guinea pigs that the owner was unable to take with them.
— Officers responded to the 300 block of East Third Street at 11:05 p.m. Wednesday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised that random people have been coming up onto her front porch to see her sister whom she is caring for due to a medical condition and that she doesn’t want them there. The caller was advised of their options and that an extra watch would be placed on her residence.
— Officers responded to the area of West State Street and Jennings Avenue at 9:51 p.m. Wednesday for a one-vehicle accident. A vehicle driven northbound on Jennings Avenue by Gwendolyn Glista, 62, Salem, went off the right side of the roadway and got stuck in a ditch. Further investigation found that Glista was intoxicated, and she was taken into custody and transported to the police department for further testing. Glista was cited with OVI and reasonable control and transported back to her residence.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of Summit Street at 5:51 p.m. Wednesday for a reported domestic dispute. The caller advised that his sister was being aggressive toward him due to her being intoxicated. Officers spoke with the sister to see if she could stay somewhere for the night and officers gave her a courtesy transport to a hotel.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of East Sixth Street at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday for a report of bicycles stolen from the caller’s yard. The caller has cameras but was having trouble getting them to work. They said they would call when they got the video.
