This Sunday’s FREE concert at Waterworth Memorial Park in Salem will feature New Wave Nation. The band, which was founded in 1998, is dedicated to recreating the iconic music of the 1980s. “From the pulsating synth lines of ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me’ to the smooth grooves of ‘Smooth Criminal’, New Wave Nation’s repertoire guarantees a journey through the 80s’ most unforgettable hits. Their constantly evolving playlist keeps both the band and the audience on their toes, ensuring every performance feels fresh and exciting.” The free concert will start at 6:00 pm. Tickets will be sold for 50/50 drawings and for prizes donated by local businesses and friends of the concert series. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets. A food vendor will be available to purchase food and soft drinks. Parking is available at the park’s Sunset Boulevard entrance, or the Superior Avenue entrance, with limited handicap accessible parking.
