The inaugural concert of the season at Lincoln Plaza was held Friday evening as part of the 2025 Live Music Series sponsored by Salem Tourism featuring world-renowned blues guitarist Nick Vigarino. A Youngstown native, Vigarino was inducted into the Washington Blues Society Hall of Fame in 2010 and can be heard on more than 30 recordings and three film soundtracks, has performed in 13 countries, and has been nominated for more than 30 music awards around the world for his distinctive “Slop Jar Delta Funk Blues.” Dozens of residents were in attendance for the concert which featured both humorous songs and more reflective pieces like “Bo Diddley’s Money,” all of which were accompanied by stories of Vigarino’s life and career.
