Inspiration shared at Columbiana Arts Theater’s annual TED event
COLUMBIANA– Two local businessmen are among more than a dozen speakers for this year’s TEDxColumbiana event on Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Columbiana Arts Theater (The CAT).

Katy Mumaw, director of marketing for the CAT explains that this event brings “ideas worth spreading to our community,” featuring local and regional speakers sharing innovative, thought-provoking talks that aim to inspire change.
Tim Figley of East Palestine and Mark Lamoncha of Columbiana, who accepted a Manufacturing Leadership Award last year on behalf of Humtown Products for their proprietary Industrial Athlete Operating System over after juggernauts like Intel and General Motors, will be two of the speakers during this year’s event.
Figley and Lamoncha will discuss the importance of keeping team members engaged and focused on purpose-aligned, high performance systems to achieving business success.
Rounding out the remaining speakers at the “Beyond Boundaries” event and sharing their fresh perspective on business, education, creativity and community are Reganne O’Brien; Dianna Kokozska; Jeffrey Bornman; Holly Higgins; Dr. Shreya Hessler; Dr. Victoria M. Grady; John Stinton; Tanya McCready; Tom Kelly; Davis Genuino, Mary Messner and Sloane.
Tickets are $35 each and either can be purchased online through the website, tedxcolumbiana.com, or at the door on the day of the event (if not sold out).
The CAT is located at 5 North Main Street in Columbiana on the city’s traffic circle.
Parking is available nearby for visitors in nearby lots, while the space directly in front of the theater entrances are limited to disabled patrons.
