Inaugural Idabelle Firestone Fine Art Show and Sale

COLUMBIANA — A showcase of local talent awaits those who will be attending the inaugural Idabelle Firestone Fine Art Show and Sale Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Harvey S. Firestone Park Recreational Park. Various forms of art will be on display for viewing and purchase, such as original drawings,oil paintings, sculptures and other forms of fine art as the artists present their creative visions.

The line-up of artists for this first-ever show come from not only Columbiana, but also Boardman, Poland, North Lima, Canfield, Youngstown, Salem, Leetonia, Enon Valley, and Warren. They include featured artist Nancy Hawkins, plus artists Shari Fry, Beth Basista, Elizabeth Ford, Noreen Yazvac, Jean Nye, Tina McCoy, Lynne Rosati, Grant Menough, Susan Blake, Becky Hawkins, Linda Steele, Anita Weinstock, Gene Brown, Sophie Lynch, Michael McKeehan and Glenda Gano.

Admission and parking is free to the public and visitors may enter at the main pool entrance of the park, leave their vehicle in the main lot and proceed up to the Idabelle Firestone Gathering Place and Garden, built to honor her status as a musical composer, lover of art and creator of artistic gardens in her day. Volunteers and directional signage to the outdoor hilltop amphitheater will assist those attending to the artists’ tables where they wlll be creating their art among the beautiful late Summer blossoms and bushes.
