LISBON — A Unity man was killed early Sunday in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Unity Township.

Cody Brayshaw, 20, was operating a Harley Davidson FXS westbound on Heck Road, when he lost control while negotiating a curve and struck a tree.

Brayshaw, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital Boardman campus, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Lt. Daniel Morrison of the Lisbon post stressed the importance of wearing helmets when operating a motorcycle and said the crash remains under investigation.
