Night at the Races

East Palestine Eagles #1506 is having a Night at the Races on Saturday. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the races starting at 7 p.m. Food is provided with admission. Admission at the door is $5 unless buying a horse for $10 by Thursday which gets two admissions and a chance to win on the horse. Other games of chance will also be played throughout the night. All proceeds benefit local organizations.

Classic Car Show

NEW WATERFORD – Abundant Life Fellowship, 46469 state Route 46, will host its annual Classic Car Show from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday in its parking lot.

Registration will begin at 3 p.m. for the show, which is sponsored by The Belonging ministry for girls and women. All proceeds will go toward a women’s conference planned for Nov. 7 and 8 at the church.

All makes and models of cars, trucks, motorcycles and dirt bikes are invited to participate. Trophies will be awarded in the following categories: Mayor’s Choice; Pastors’ Choice and Public Choice in first, second and third place, and Public Choice for best truck.

Dash plaques will be available to the first 50 entries.

A Chinese auction featuring a variety of gift baskets, gift cards and other items will be conducted as will a 50/50 raffle. Grill food including burgers, hot dogs, french fries along with nachos with cheese and salsa, desserts and beverages will all be available for purchase.
