Tops Ohio 1341
Tops Ohio 1341 met at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church with leader Mary Gailey presiding. Dorothy Garn was best loser and Cathy Wollam was runner up. They chose bread and potato chips as the junk foods for the next two weeks.
Drawing winners were: Garn,Calorie chart and 50/50; Wollam, weight loss and jackpot; Lydia Kraft, junk food.
Other winners were: Garn and Wollam, three times in best losers book; Kraft, attendance; and returning from vacation without a gain was Darlene Naukem. Kraft won the check contest. Cheryl Myers held the travel box for the first week.
The rules for the new contest, “Don’t Feed The Sharks” were discussed and members were given a copy of those rules. The tally of the first week will occur on Sept. 8. There is no meeting on Labor Day.
Becky Andrew’s presented a program on motivation in our journey to be healthier. A discussion followed.
The pledges and concerns opened the meeting and closed with The Lord’s Prayer.

Choose To Lose Group
Choose To Lose Group met at Boyce Church on August 26 with leader Penny Perorazio presiding. The meeting opened up with the pledge of allegiance followed by CTLG roll call.
Pam Fouse gave the secretary report and Cassie Stephens gave the treasure report. Both were approved as read.
Tammy Heddelston was the Pearl’s biggest loser. Dottie Seevers was the Diamonds biggest loser. Penny Perorazio was the officer biggest loser.
Diamonds in leeway are Dottie Seevers, Jean Ferrebee, and JoAnn Beresford.
Three weeks weight loss are Tassy Everett, Dottie Seevers, and Jean Ferrebee.
The no no’s are pop and no sweets.
Margo Arnold won the food journal and Share The Blessing. Carolyn Hager won the dimes.
Winners of the No Fibbing Contest are Cassie Stephens, Jean Ferrebee, and Penny Perorazio. New numbers were drawn for the following week # 9.
Tammy Heddelston, Tassy Everett, Margo Arnold, Dottie Seevers, Penny Perorazio, and JoAnn Beresford got to Put A Pig In The Pen.

Town & Country Garden Club
EAST PALESTINE – At the August meeting held by the Town & Country Garden Club of East Palestine, there were 19 members present, which included four new ones. President Darlene Exposito welcomed all to the meeting, and said a blessing before inviting all to enjoy the snack. This month’s snack committee was Mary Anne Tyger, Lyddy Jones and Inda Akenhead.
The meeting was then called to order, with the new members welcomed and introduced. Committee reports were given, with Susan Dellavole giving the treasurer’s report, which was unanimously approved. Secretary Bonnie Davis’ minutes were read and also unanimously approved. Corresponding Secretary Aubrin Strohecker gave her report, with one birthday card and 13 Thank You cards sent last month.
Civic Committee Donna Holzer gave an update on the 23 planters, which most are doing well, but the club still needs a few members to step up and get on the watering team.
Ways and Means Committee Lynn Guy stated the meat raffle is going well. The club will be selling tickets at the Fall Fest.
The Home Tour committee reported that the club now has its fourth home for this year’s home tour. Folders were given to the chair of each home with their team members listed. Discussion for this year’s theme concluded with a motion made and voted on unanimously to be “Journey to Christmas.”
?Under Old Business, due to the increase in costs of everything, a motion was made, voted on, and approved unanimously to increase the amount the club spends on bereavement.
Yard of the Month for August was announced to be Mike and Noelle Hobart.
The winner of the garden themed basket, raffled at The Sesquicentennial, was Joyce Doll.
Under New Business: The Fall Fest was discussed by Dellavolle, with a motion made and voted on unanimously to participate in this event and have meat raffle tickets available. The club will also be making a scarecrow to be on display at its table on Sept. 13, that will be voted on.
Donna Holzer announced that the club was asked to provide a wreath with gift cards for the car show again this year. This will be held at Firestone on Sept. 14, with proceeds going to Caring Hands Food Ministry. In turn, they will be promoting the club’s annual home tours. A motion was made and voted on unanimously to ask members to bring a gift card to the next meeting for this.
The next meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Sept. 8 at The First Church of Christ. As always, anyone (men, women, teens) who would be interested in joining the club is welcome to attend.
