Annual Tea Party to be held Sept. 21

BOARDMAN — The Holborn Herb Growers Guild will host its 2025 Annual Tea Party from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21 at the Lariccia Family Community Center in Boardman Park, 375 Boardman-Poland Road.

Adults and children are encouraged to attend this year’s planned festivities which will feature the sampling of herbal teas along with the samplings of both savory and sweet delicacies to delight the palate. Tour the Summer Kitchen herb gardens behind St. James Meeting Place. Guest Speaker Alice Crosetto, author of “The Cookie Table, A Steel Valley Tradition,” will speak and share a delectable journey of photos, family stories and interviews into this tradition. As a take home keepsake of the event, souvenir tea cups and saucers will be gifted to each visitor. Basket Raffles will be offered along with a Komara Jewelers door prize drawing.

The Holborn Herb Growers Guild began in 1982 with the aim of educating members and the public in the use and enjoyment of herbs. To this end, the guild has established public herb gardens at the Western Reserve Village at the Canfield Fairgrounds and the Summer Kitchen Gardens at Boardman Park and has held numerous educational programs and events including scholarship awards.
