Knox Township Festival set or Saturday

NORTH GEORGETOWN — The Homeworth Community Group will host its annual Knox Township Festival from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday at the North Georgetown Community Pavilion at the fire department, 4081 Rochester Road.

Opening ceremony is at noon with George D. Worth Color Guard, North Georgetown Post 574 and the raising of the flag. Steven Schreckengost will play the national anthem on guitar and Pam Miller will lead in prayer.

This year will feature the first ever Semi Pride and Polish Show. The Semi Truck Show is from noon to 3 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded for the following categories: Newest Semi, Oldest Semi and Peoples Choice. The Baby Contest starts at 3 p.m. in front of the Band Stage. Those who pre-registered need to check in by 2:45 p.m. Deadline to enter online has been extended to July 18. Bounce Houses will be available all day along with the Ruritans Dunk Tank. Special guests will be waiting for participants to hit the bullseye and drop them into the water.

There will be a gun raffle with 1,000 tickets and can be purchased at the Ticket Table. Winning ticket drawing will not take place until all tickets are sold.

Live music starts at 6 p.m. In Like Flinn will play from 6 until 10 p.m.
