COLUMBIANA — Fundraising continues for Phase 1 of the Columbiana Project Playground.

According to Michaela Good, president of Columbiana Project Playground, $680,000 is needed to complete the main tower play area with slide and climbing features, a toddler play area, a merry-go-round and a fully accessible swing plus the entrance plaza, picnic and music areas.

On Friday, July 18, the non-profit is hosting its second annual Family Fun Day at Firestone Park, raising funds through the sale of event wristbands.

For $10 per person, wristbands may be purchased until Wednesday, July 16 at playatfirestone.com. Wristbands can be purchased for $15 per person at the door payable by cash or check.

Many activities will be held from 4-8 p.m. in the stadium parking lot, where guests can find various games, inflatables, soft play items for young children, sensory tables, a professional face painter and a touch-a-truck.

From 8 to 10 p.m., swimmers can enjoy Summer Santa’s Christmas pool party at Firestone Pool for $5 a person.

Any individuals or businesses can assist with additional donations either through the website’s PayPal account, which charges the charity a processing fee; cash or checks.

Mail all checks to Columbiana Project Playground, P.O. Box 156; Columbiana, OH 44408.

Starting at $2.99/week.
