CAA’s Back-to-School Drive Through on tap
The Columbiana County’s CAA’s Health, Behavioral Health and Dental Centers’ annual Back-to-School Drive Through event is planned for Aug. 7 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. This year’s event will be held in East Liverpool at the First Church of the Nazarene located on Walnut Street. The CAA will be handing out cinch sacks with school supplies in the church’s parking lot. The CAA Mobile Unit will also be on site and the CAA’s Head Start, Mobility Management/CARTS and Community Services programs also will be handing out school supplies
ODNR Stream Life Day set at Beaver Creek
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) will hold the 2025 Little Beaver Creek Stream Life Day Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Beaver Creek State Park. The ONDR event offers an afternoon of hands-on learning that includes archery, electro fishing and creek seining. The event is free and fun for all ages.
Spaghetti dinner benefit
A will be held for Otto Clark, an infant who recently passed away, from noon to 7 p.m. at 231 W. Sixth St. The event will include Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle and bake sale. Any donations can be dropped off at the Orioles Nest 169 at 622 Dresden Ave., East Liverpool.
EP seeks legend nominations
Nominations for East Palestine Distinguished Hall of Fame are currently being accepted. The Hall is looking for individuals who have made a significant impact in the East Palestine community, whether through athletic achievements or meritorious service. Visit our website at www.myepschools.org/page/distinguished-hall-of-fame to learn more about the nomination process and submit a deserving candidate. The district is also selling commemorative tiles for its Wall of Fame. Information on purchasing a tile can also be found on the schools’ website.
Location change for Saturday’s Free Community Dinner
There is a change of location for the Trinity Parish Presbyterian Church’s Free Community Dinner from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday. The dinner will now be hosted at the Newell American Legion, 538 Washington St. In the tradition of the movable feast, this meal is take out and eat in. This month will serve meatball or hot sausage, salad, chips and dessert. The Free Community Dinner is a mission of Trinity Parish Presbyterian Church and is free and open to all.
