COLUMBIANA – The Columbiana Community Foundation awarded another grant to the Columbiana Project Playground for creation of a donor welcome area in its new all-inclusive playground at Firestone Park.

Since the Columbiana Project Playground’s inception, the foundation has been an incredible supporter. In 2024, the Foundation provided the first grant to the project, which helped cover critical early costs including fundraising efforts, professional design renderings, and proposal fees. Their ongoing support underscores the shared commitment to building a welcoming, accessible space for children of all abilities.

“The Community Foundation believed in our vision from the start,” said Michaela Good, Columbiana Project Playground president. “We are incredibly grateful for their partnership as we continue bringing this vital project to life.”

The new playground is designed to offer an inclusive experience where everyone can play, learn, and grow together, no matter their ability. The Donor Welcome Area, funded by this grant, will serve as a heartfelt tribute to the many generous contributors who are making the playground a reality.

The Columbiana Project Playground sincerely thanks the Columbiana Community Foundation for their generous and continuing support of our community’s project. This partnership strengthens our shared commitment to building a vibrant, inclusive space where every child has the opportunity to play, learn, and thrive.

The grant was provided through the foundation’s community grant program, which assists and supports those in the Columbiana and Crestview Local School districts as well as non-profits that offer services in the area. Their services include fundraising, grant management, scholarships and community outreach.
