Bigfoot Festival Sunday
The annual Bigfoot Festival will be held Sunday at Pioneer Village in Beaver Creek State Park.
From noon to 5 p.m. there will be speakers in the upstairs of the barn sharing their research and sightings. They include Joedy Cook of the North American Dogman Project; Doug Waller, Bigfoot investigator and author; Rick McCandlish, cryptid researcher; Kain Michael, Bigfoot researcher; Jay Fouch, Coshocton County Bigfoot; David Walker, Bigfoot eyewitness and author; David Wolf, cryptid investigator and filmmaker, and Linda Sigman, Mothman UFO eyewitness and author.
Wolf, the organizer of the event, will be hosting a campout at the park today and Saturday prior to the event. The campout is open to individuals interested in the research of Bigfoot. Anyone interested in the campout should contact Wolf by calling 216-240-0827. Participants will need to furnish their own camping gear and food.
The Friends of Beaver Creek State Park, hosts of the event, will be having a pancake breakfast in the lower level of the barn from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday. The breakfast is open to the public. The menu includes pancakes, sausage, grits, homemade syrup and a beverage. The cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children 6 and under.
There will also be vendors set up at the site beginning at 8 a.m.
Banquet in Salem Monday
Family and friends of Archie Crum will sponsor is his memory the dine in or drive thru Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone Monday at the Salem Memorial Building. The menu will include sweet Italian sausage sandwich with onions and pepper, scalloped potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, fresh vegetables and fruit, and cookies. Dine in will park in the designated area behind the building and proceed to the front door. Drive thru will line up in the lot behind the building; one meal per individuals in the vehicle. Devotions and Doughnuts
All women are invited to attend the monthly devotional group Devotions and Doughnuts at Lisbon First United Methodist Church, which will meet the first Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. beginning June 7. It is to be a time to talk, pray and encourage one another. The meetings will last about an hour. Registration is not required. Call 330-424-5212 with any questions.
Cooking Club
The Upper Ohio Valley Hall of Fame will host a Sharing and Sampling Cooking Club on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The theme for this month is Mexican. There is not any formal membership and attendance is free. Bring a food item for sampling and a recipe for sharing. For information call 330-386-5443.
