East Palestine Water Department will be flushing hydrants the week of April 21. Residents will experience low pressure/discolored water throughout the week.
Salem Eagles Fire Drill Fridays
The Salem Eagles will be holding Fire Drill Fridays starting in May. The game starts at 4 p.m. Fridays in May. Each person who would like to play can buy a wristband for $5. Then all drinks will be $1 until someone sets off an alarm and drinks go back to regular price. The $1 drinks will begin again after each alarm on even hours from 4 p.m. to close. Alarms are placed randomly. Players only need to register once for the entire evening.
Easter egg hunt
Eyes on Wellsville will present an Easter egg hunt Sunday at the Hammond Park Top Pavilion, 1200 Parkview Drive, Wellsville. Registration begins at 11 a.m. with the egg hunt at 1 p.m. The event will include egg hunting, games, prizes, 50/50 drawing, a concession stand and photos with the Easter Bunny. Meatloaf and ham loaf
The First Methodist Women of Salem will be making their marvelous meatloaf and ham loaf Friday, April 25. The one pound loaves are $8. Orders maybe placed by calling 330-337-9531 by Monday, April 21. Leave name and phone number when making order. You will be called when your baked order is ready for pickup.

The Ohio State University Extension in Mahoning County will host the next event in its 2025 Garden Art Series – Botanical Cards at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9,at the OSU Extension Office, 490 S. Broad St., Canfield. Participants will learn how to create handmade botanical cards using pressed flowers and other natural materials. The workshop is $25 per person, and registration is required. Business seminar on tap
The Village of Lisbon continues its partnership with the Rural Community Assistance Program and the Small Business Development Center at Youngstown State University with a free business seminar on Thursday from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Days Inn in Lisbon located at 40952 state Route 154 in Lisbon. The seminar will focus on finance and how to make a good business plan. A light lunch will be provided. Registration is required but admission is free. Lecture series continues in EL
East Liverpool Area Community and Learning Center’s Lecture Series continues on April 15 at 7 p.m. Author and retired firefighter Gary Cornell will present “The Olde Mill Fire at Rock Springs Park — June 1915.” Snacks will be served at 6:30 p.m.
