ODOT seeks comments on proposed projects
NEW PHILADELPHIA – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 and the city of Columbiana are seeking comments on a proposed state Route 14 improvement project in the city of Columbiana. The project includes installing a two-way left turn lane and adding sidewalks along both sides of State Route 14.
Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2026 and last approximately three months. Traffic will be maintained during construction.
No wooded habitat suitable for endangered bat species will be impacted. No impacts to waters of the U.S. will be involved. No permanent or temporary right-of-way take is expected.
ODOT and the City are seeking comments from the public regarding the social, environmental, and economic impacts of the proposed project. Environmental impacts include those associated with historical archeological or architectural resources, ecological resources, hazardous materials, and/or any general concerns regarding the project.
Written comments concerning the project may be submitted via https://www.transportation.ohio.gov/projects or mailed to the Ohio Department of Transportation District 11, 2201 Reiser Avenue, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663; Attention: Thomas Stratton (330-308-3992) or emailed to thomas.stratton@dot.ohio.gov. U.S. Route 30 resurfacing
ODOT is also seeking comments on a resurfacing project of U.S. Route 30 in Lisbon.
The project rehabilitates nearly six miles of U.S. Route 30 from Lisbon to State Route 11. The exact location of the project is from the intersection of U.S. Route 30 and State Route 154 in Lisbon to the junction of U.S. Route 30 and County Road 425/State Route 11 interchange.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the Spring of 2026 and last six months. Traffic will likely be detoured during construction, with limits and durations to be determined.
The project will require impacts on various waterways of the United States and impact suitable wooded habitats for endangered bat species.
No new right-of-way will be required to facilitate construction. Utility relocations may be necessary to facilitate construction.
ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental, and economic impacts of this proposed action. Environmental impacts include those associated with historical archeological or architectural resources, ecological resources, hazardous materials, and/or any general concerns regarding the project.
