2025 Chapter Support Membership Scholarship
AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals) Mahoning / Shenango Chapter, is announcing a new program, the 2025 Chapter Support Membership Scholarship Program. Five scholarships are available, and cover one year of AFP Global and local chapter membership dues. The Chapter Support Membership Scholarships are for individuals who are new to AFP Global and intended for those who are young professionals, self-identify as diverse, or those new to the profession of fundraising. The East Palestine Park Board meeting originally scheduled for March 19 has been postponed.
Food distribution
St. Patrick Community Food Pantry, 167 W. Main St. Leetonia, will sponsor its monthly drive thru food distribution for Leetonia School District families Saturday, March 15, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Have photo ID and trunk clear to receive groceries.
‘Music In Our Schools Month’
The Salem band will be holding its annual “Music in Our Schools Month” concert on Saturday, March 15 in the Salem High School gym. Admission is free. There will be raffle baskets, 50/5 tickets, and “Nothing Bundt Cakes” for sale. Performances begin at 4 p.m. and last until 7:30 p.m., featuring groups from every band in the district grades 5 to 12.
Columbiana Library board seat
The Columbiana Public Library Board of Trustees is announcing a vacant seat on the board. The Library Board of Trustees will review applications, hold interviews, and make a recommendation to the Columbiana Board of Education, which will make the appointment. Applicants must live in the Columbiana Village School District. Anyone interested in the volunteer position of Library Trustee should mail a resume and letter of interest stating the desire to serve on the board to Laura Nappi, President, Columbiana Public Library, 332 N. Aladdin Jr. at EPHS
The East Palestine Drama Club will present its spring musical production of Disney’s Aladdin Jr. this Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., as well as Sunday at 2 p.m. All shows will take place in the East Palestine High School Auditorium. Tickets are $10 at the door.
Designer Purse Bingo
Boardman Gridiron Club will host the 4th Annual Designer Purse Bingo on Saturday,April 5, 2025 at Palermo Banquet Center 404 Tenney Ave. Campbell, Ohio.Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and Bingo starts at 7 p.m.Tickets are $40 each and include 15 rounds of Bingo, Dinner, Water/Pop & Entry to Purse Door Prize Raffle. Additional Extra Bingo cards, 50/50 tickets & Chinese Auction tickets will be available to purchase.This year’s event includes a Bonus Raffle for a Louis Vuitton Purse, valued at $2,600. Tickets for the Louis Vuitton Purse are $25 each and only 400 tickets will be sold.
