Crestview Elementary School kindergartners had help from Crestview Middle School fifth graders on Friday to construct leprechaun traps in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Kindergarten classes read the book “How to Catch a Leprechaun,” talked about how traps work, and sketched out their plans with common STEM materials in mind. Then, with the help of fifth graders put their plan into action. Before arriving, fifth graders created a 3D printed leprechaun to bring down for their kindergarten friends to trap. The leprechauns did come to CES on Monday, but left minimal messes and treats for the kids for their hard work. (Submitted photos)
