Craft Night tonight

CFA Foundation Inc. will host a Craft Night at the Feline Historical Museum from 5 to 7 p.m. today, making tiny hats for cats. Enjoy cat-themed music, cookies, live kittens, and a chance to display the tiny hat in the museum. Cost is $3 per crafter.

Sundae social event on tap

Dashing Divas Boutique (located at 5 S. Park Ave., Lisbon) is hosting a “Shamrock, Shades & Sundae Social” event March 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Tickets for the event cost $7 and include a pair of Shamrock sunglasses for just $7 and a free “Make Your Own Sundae.” Sundaes and all toppings are dye-free. Tickets must be purchased before March 12 and are available at dashingdivasboutique.com.

Food distribution planned

A food distribution will take place at 3:30 p.m. on March 3 at Dr. Rick Tsai’s Place located at 3602 Darlington Road, Darlington, Pa. Those picking up food for themselves or someone else are asked to RSVP a text to 724-624-5742 and include their name, contact information and number of people in your family. As supplies are obviously limited, it’s on a first-come first-serve basis. The event is made possible by Nadine Luci, Mike Stout and Steve Mellon.

Lisbon seeks lifeguards

The Village of Lisbon is looking for lifeguards for the 2025 season. Applications can be picked up at Village Hall at 203 N. Market St., Lisbon. The village will reimburse the cost of certification if a lifeguard works all summer. Candidates must be 15 years old at time of hiring.

East Palestine shopping event

The East Palestine Area of Commerce is holding a St. Patrick’s Day shopping event on March 15. The event is meant to encourage shopping at East Palestine area merchants. Shoppers are asked to bring proof of purchase from an East Palestine business on that date from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for an entry into a raffle for one of six gift certificates from local businesses.

Crochet classes offered

Crochet classes are offered the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Smucker House at 271 S. Broadway in Salem. They are for all ages from beginning to skilled crocheters. The class starts at 6:30 p.m. The instructor is Lora Martin.

ELHS Alumni fish meal

ELHS Alumni Association is holding a Fish Sandwich Meal Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 4 to 6 p.m. Cost is $10 for a fish sandwich, bag of chips and a brownie. Order by calling the alumni association at 330-385-0591 or Sue Furman at 330-385-0403 or 330-383-0798 by Tuesday, Feb. 25. An alumni will deliver to vehicles at the basement door on the west side of alumni building, 216 E. 4th St., East Liverpool.

Wellsville spaghetti dinner

The Wellsville Alumni Activities Committee will host its spaghetti dinner Wednesday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the alumni center. Eat in or carryout. Cost is $12 adults, $6 children. Call 330-532-9811 to place an order. Walk-in orders also welcome.

EP Eagles sirloin tip and noodles

East Palestine Eagles monthly sirloin tip and noodle drive thru dinner is on Feb. 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. or sold out. Dinner includes coleslaw, roll and dessert. Cost is $11. Call 330-853-8583 to reserve a meal.

CAA seeks contractors

The Community Action Agency of Columbiana County Inc. is seeking qualified contractors to perform work under several grant programs. The grant programs include the Columbiana County Community Housing Impact and Preservation (CHIP) program, the Home Weatherization Program (HWAP), Lead Safe Ohio, and the Housing Assistance Grant Program (HAGP). Contractors must provide proof of insurance and workers compensation, documentation of completion of the Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) training, and required training/licensing for some specialties. In addition to general contractors, we are also seeking licensed plumbing, electrical, and HVAC professionals. Call 330-424-4013 for more information and to obtain an application to participate.

CHIP applications begin Feb. 19

The Community Housing Impact and Preservation (CHIP) program is accepting applications beginning Feb. 19 to provide for full rehabilitation and repairs for low to moderate income homeowners throughout Columbiana County. Applications are available at the Community Action Agency of Columbiana County Inc. located at 7860 Lincole Place (lower level), Lisbon. Anyone interested in more information or would like an application mailed/emailed to them may call 330-424-4013. This program is designed on a first come, first serve basis with limited funding available.

LPPAC to offer food trucks

Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center will host a variety of food trucks directly in front of the center beginning two hours before each showing of Tom Sawyer: A Ballet this week. The schedule includes Thursday, Ambridge Italian Villa (5:30 to 7:30 p.m.); Friday, Smokin’ Steer BBQ (5:30 to 7:30 p.m.); Saturday, Smokin’ Steer BBQ (noon to 2 p.m. and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.); and Sunday, Hermes Food Truck (noon to 2 p.m.).
