Hoppel and Carr exchange vows

Chandler M. Hoppel and Kristopher R. Carr were married Nov. 2, 2024, at the Barn at Firestone Farms in Columbiana. Kris’s cousin, Marc Moore, officiated at the ceremony, which was followed by a reception.
The sisters of the bride, Carsyn and Chansyn Hoppel, served as Maids of Honor. Childhood friends Olivia Headings and Sierra McComas served as Matrons of Honor. The bridesmaids were Chandler’s sorority sisters Rachel Briach and Marina Pavlichich, and the niece of the groom, Reed McGeehan.
Mr. Timothy McGeehan II, brother of the groom, served as Best Man. The groomsmen were brothers of the groom Brandon Carr and Cory Carr; Timothy McGeehan III, nephew of the groom; Jim Nelson, friend of the groom; Tanner Johnston and Taylor Johnston, cousins of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Doug and Jodi Hoppel of Calcutta. She is the granddaughter of the late Harold L. (Jack) and Bonnie E. Johnston, Linda M. Hoppel, and the late Carl E. Hoppel. She is a 2014 graduate of Beaver Local High School. She graduated from Youngstown State University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Science and Applied Science/Criminal Justice. She then graduated in 2020 from Youngstown State University with her master’s degree in Science and Education. She is currently pursuing a dual master’s at YSU in Clinical Counseling. Chandler is employed at Beaver Local School District as a Guidance Counselor.
The groom is the son of Ralph and Christy Carr of East Liverpool. He is the grandson of the late Barbara L. Moore, James A. Moore, Mary L. Carr, and Edmund Carr. He is a 2007 graduate of Toronto High School. Kris currently is employed at Norfolk Southern Railroad as a carman worker.
The couple currently resides in Calcutta.
