‘Change for a Cure’

Students in the Lisbon Exempted Village School District are coming together to help a child in a nearby school district. Six-year-old Bricelynn Garrett is a Southern Local Elementary School student who is battling brain cancer. Together, the Elementary and Jr. High Student Senate groups launched “Change for a Cure,” a coin collecting drive to assist Bricelynn in his treatment. Coin jars are located in each classroom and in the cafeteria this week as students and staff are encouraged to donate any spare change they may have. Students hope that “small change can make a big impact” for a fellow student.
