Carroll County Recorder Patricia Oyer was recently sworn in as president of the Ohio Recorders Association on Nov. 20. Ohio Supreme Court Chief Justice Sharon Kennedy conducted the swearing in ceremony in Columbus.

Kennedy congratulated Oyer for her hard work on behalf of the recorders association, and in earning the prestigious position as president of the association. Previously she served as secretary, treasurer and vice president of the association.

In 2024 Oyer was re-elected to her ninth term as Carroll County Recorder.

“It is an honor and a privilege to serve this county for 36 years as well as the Ohio Recorders Association,” Oyer said. “I have always believed the great people of this county deserve a recorder who has continually worked to improve and provide public access and good service. I consider myself to be very fortunate to be able to work at the state level to implement those same goals.”
