LiDAR work in EL
LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) surveying work for the City of East Liverpool will be performed along Pennsylvania Avenue, Elizabeth Street and Harvey Avenue on Dec. 16, 17, and 18. LiDAR surveying uses a vehicle mounted sending device with lasers to measure distance to the Earth’s surface which will create a 3D model of existing conditions along this route including road surface, curbs, sidewalks, utility poles, fire hydrants, etc. This work is an important step in the gathering of information necessary for the design of the new roadway. Motorists are asked not to park along the streets mentioned above between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. For information contact the Planning Department at 330-385-5394.
