EAST LIVERPOOL — Dawnitta Wright, owner of D’s Crafts & Cravings LLC, located at 426 Market St., East Liverpool, has found her business rapidly growing with Door Dash deliveries and working with the schools along with in store customers.

Due to the growing business, the residential refrigerator and equipment she was using was not enough to meet her needs anymore and she submitted a loan request to the East Liverpool Community Improvement Corporation (CIC).

The CIC Finance Committee met Wednesday evening to discuss her application for a $6,000 business loan to purchase a commercial freezer and cooler.

The committee voted to pass the application onto the CIC Board of Trustees which met immediately following the Finance Committee meeting.

With a unanimous vote, the board members voted to approve the loan for a term of two years with a 4 percent interest rate.

Executive Director Bill Cowan and Thompson Building Engineer Sam Shephard both noted prior to the close of the meeting that the city was getting close to closing on the Thompson Building and once they close on it work can on it can begin.
