WELLSVILLE -- First Baptist Wellsville will observe their pastor's second pastoral anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 13.
Pastor Roylin Petties III and his wife of 16 years, Maria, reside in Midland. They are the proud parents of a daughter, Alana and the proud grandparents of a grandson, Jhaki Santiago.
The celebration will begin with an 11 a.m. service and Derrick Kendall, pastor of New Hope Missionary Baptist, will deliver the message. The day will conclude with a 3 p.m. service, where Pastor Cordell Fountain from First Baptist Midland/Beaver will give the sermon.
Pastor Petties received his B.S. in secondary education from Slippery Rock University in 2009, as well as his teaching certificate in Social Studies.He earned his master's degree in educational leadership from Edinboro University in 2012; and in 2014, he earned his Principal Certification and is currently working on his Doctorate from Liberty University. He is currently the principal of Washington High School in Washington, Pa.
Petties continues to be active in the community. He is the vice president of the Beaver County Branch of the NAACP and serves on the non-profit board of "The Center," which is located in Midland.
