Fire destroys Liverpool Twp. home

LIVERPOOL TOWNSHIP -- There were no injuries to fire fighters, residents or pets from a fire that gutted the home of Jeff and Melanie Hull early Tuesday morning.

The house at 3032 Kings Ridge Road was fully involved when firefighters arrived on scene shortly after 6 a.m.

The residents were out of the home when the fire departments arrived.

Calcutta and Glenmoor volunteer fire departments along with East Liverpool City and Wellsville fire departments provided mutual aid to Liverpool Township Fire Department. Also on scene were the Liverpool Township Police Department, Lifeteam Ambulance, the Liverpool Township Road Department and AEP to disconnect power to the residence.

The residence, which is valued by the Columbiana County Auditor's office at $216,200, has been declared a total loss.

According to Fire Chief Dave Ward, Liverpool Township Volunteer Fire Department, the residents have family to stay with.

According to Ward the fire does not appear to be suspicious. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the state fire marshal.
