LISBON — Several contracts were renewed for the next school year for the Beaver Local School District.

During the April meeting of the board of education the board approved renewing administrative and supplemental contracts, including several coaching contracts.

The board also offered congratulations to Anne Eisenhart on her retirement.

District Superintendent Eric Lowe said he had been fortunate to work with her over the past 24 years at West Point Elementary, Beaver Local Middle School and then at the K-12 facility since he became superintendent.

He said she will be missed as she has always worked to provide support to all students along with ensuring the proper services and agencies collaborated to meet the ever growing and changing needs of district students.

“Her hard work, dedication and passion for her work will be missed,” Lowe said.

Board President Jerry Barnett, also shared his appreciation for her service to the district over the years to help students.

Lowe and the board also took some time during the meeting to honor the work of Jim Kerr, 82, who passed away on March 26.

Lowe said that Kerr was a longtime district educator that made a lasting impact on many students through the years at Beaver Local.

“He had a positive impact on the school community and Beaver Creek through the Wildlife Center. He will be greatly missed,” Lowe said.

In other matters, the board approved:

— A first reading of NEOLA policy 8550 regarding competitive food sales.

— High school football assistant supplemental contracts for Shane O’Brien, Josh Weese, Aaron West, Jeremy McElroy, Tanner Johnston, John Klein, and Nick Sesonsky; and Mike Curran for freshman football and Terry Bowyer for middle school football.

— Volleyball supplemental contracts for Drew Garren as high school assistant; Carmen Pugliano for freshmen; and Heaven Wolski and Cierra Thurick as middle school coaches.

— A supplemental head coaching contract for Joe Zirrilo, boys soccer, and assistant coaching supplemental contacts for Devon Miller and Shawn Dunn.

— A supplemental head coaching contract for Liz Connor, girls soccer; and assistant coaching supplemental contracts for Alyssa Culp and Hannah Cochran.

— A supplemental head coaching contract for Richard Saphore, tennis.

— A three-year supplemental head coaching contract for Jess Darrah, cross country.

— Ryan Smith as head boys golf coach.

— Al Pierson as head girls golf coach.

— Michelle Blair as head cheerleading coach, Chandler Hoppel as assistant coach and Tammy Saphore as middle school coach.

— Family medical leave for Nicole Elick, effective May 20.

— A continuing contract for teacher Gina Kief.

— Brandon Morgan as technology summer help and Justin Fisher for summer maintenance help.

— One-year, two-year and three year certified contract renewals for several people, and classified continuing contracts for five people.

— Confidential three-year contracts for Jessica Lucas, Johnny McComas and Karen Wathy.

— Administrative contract renewals for Nate Aldrich, Mike McKenzie, Mason Seachrist, Josh Sigler, Jim Steiner, and Jake Walgate.

— Megan Butler, Steve Hall, Sierra McComas, and Emmi Felton as volleyball volunteers and Dustin Langley as cross country volunteer.

— A supplemental contract for Allison Hupp as junior varsity volleyball coach.

— A supplemental contract for Josh Ludwig as high school varsity assistant football coach.
