Choose To Lose Group
Choose To Lose Group met at Boyce Church on April 2 with leader Penny Perorazio presiding.
The meeting opened up with the pledge of allegiance followed by the CTLG roll call. Pam Fouse gave the secretary report and Cassie Stephens gave the treasure report. Both were approved as read.
Wanda Price was the Pearl's biggest loser, Stephens was the Diamonds biggest loser, Perorazio was the officer biggest loser.
Perorazio had three weeks weight loss.
Diamonds in leeway are Seevers and Stephens.
The no no's are salty snacks and soda pop. Stephens won the calorie charts, Dottie Seevers won the dimes, and Perorazio won the 50/50. Fouse read an article New Healthy Foods.
Winners of the No Fibbing Contest are Pat Heacock, Dottie Seevers, Jerry Kontnier, Sally B, Wanda Price, Perorazio, Stephens, and Fouse. New numbers were drawn for the following week, # 7.
Leader Perorazio closed the meeting with Prayer requests followed by the Lord's prayer. New and former members are always welcome on Tuesdays. For more information call 330-383-8217.
Tops 1957
Tops 1957 from Wellsville met March 26 at the Living Well Church with leader Mary Jarvis opening the meeting with pledges and roll call. The the group was then led in prayer by Connie Hissam.
Tops best loser was Brenda Young, Kops best loser was Jarvis and Young wore the officers ribbon. The dimes will be carried over and Barb Tranter won the 50/50 drawing. The Nono for the week is cookies and all breads.
Barb M and Tranter's birthdays were celebrated with a card shower.
Barb M gave the treasurer's report and Young read the minutes. Both were approved as read.
Martha Baxter gave the program titled "Unwind Your Mind."
Hissam announced a new contest that will start next week titled "Plant A Seed." Members are to lose a quarter of a pound to get a seed and the rules will be passed out next week.
Tranter read a funny joke and then Jarvis closed the meeting wishing all a good week.
WB Lady Ruritans
The West Branch Area Lady Ruritans met March 18.
Shirley Logsdon introduces her niece Kristen Cox Williamson for the program. Williamson owns A Shirtery and More clothing, printed signs and banners, located at 22285 U.S. Route 62.
President Robin Mayer opened the business meeting with The Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of God Bless America. Viola Blanchard read the devotions.
Sandy Bates read the minutes and Jean Zion read the treasurer's report.
Zone 6 clubs received Thank Yous from the third-graders at West Branch Elementary. All clubs had pre-school books for them.
A dinner was held March 19 at Mile Branch Grange for Zone 6. Zion, Mayer and Joann Pinkerton attended.
The club is donating to the Hot Stove League of Sebring and West Branch.
The state of Ohio is having a Spring Banquet in East Canton April 14.
The club's next meeting is April 8.
Logsdon served refreshments for the group.
