YOUNGSTOWN -- Mahoning County Mental Health & Recovery Board Executive Director Duane Piccirilli was recognized with the Path Finder Award at A.C.T.I.O.N. of Mahoning Valley's 21st Annual Banquet, "Empowering...ACTION."
The Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing Out Neighborhoods (A.C.T.I.O.N.) is a multicultural collaboration of diverse leaders, dedicated to raising awareness and seeking solutions to overcome racism, poverty and injustice. Their annual banquet is to recognize their successes throughout the year, raise funds as well as honoring local individuals or agencies that have bettered our communities through their actions.
The Path Finder Award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to helping members of the community gain access to care and receive the help they need.
"I am honored to receive this award. Being recognized as a Path Finder shows that everything we do at the Mental Health & Recovery Board, our staff and our contract agencies are working to help more people find the help that they need." Piccirilli said.
