The Calcutta Lions Club met for its regular meeting March 12 to discuss upcoming events. Lion Richard Titus called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. Fourteen members were in attendance. Lion and Chaplain Marianne Wolf led the invocation. The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all. Lion Gary Freeh began the meeting after dinner with some tail twisting.
The club will be holding a pasta dinner fundraiser at the fire department May 5. More information to come. First call for election of officers was held.
Lion Janet Christen, who is the current District Governor for District 13 OH4, had her convention in Canton with her theme of Lions are Happy to Serve. A great weekend of fellowship, learning and having fun was had by all.
