Camp Fire staff recently presented their "Salute to Hospitalized Veterans" program in area elementary schools. Pictured, from left, are Arial Horning, Mckenzi Anderson, Isabelle Scheufele and Arianna Villanueva-Barrios, students in Susan Slopek's second-grade class at Buckeye Elementary in Salem. The project involves students making and sending valentines and messages to hospitalized veterans across the nation. They also learn about veterans and giving service to others.
