Dimko celebrates 95th birthday

Olga Dimko was honored on her 95th birthday at the home of her daughter Linda and with her family there to surprise her. She was also there with her five generations of greatchildren.

She was born Feb. 12, 1929. She was a graduate from Salem High School in 1946. She was married to the late Joseph Dimko.

Olga worked as a cashier at GC, Murphy’s as a cashier until the store closed up. She also served as a volunteer at the Salem Hospital and a longtime member of the Salem Senior Citizens.

She has two daughters, Chris Thomas and Linda Chamberlain and three grandchildren, Richard Thomas, Joe Chamberlain and Melissa Yost. She has seven great-grandchildren, Jacob, Annabelle, Kyle and Emma Yost, Hattie and Halle Smith and Taylor Thomas. She was recently blessed with her fifth generation great-great-grandchild Jude Yost.

Olga currently resides at Brookdale Assisted Living in Salem.
