East Liverpool Fire Department gets a firefighter/EMT, lieutenant

EAST LIVERPOOL -- Family, friends and fellow firefighters of Shawn Fiffick and Kevin Minamyer packed council chambers at East Liverpool City Hall Friday to support the two of them as they took their oaths and received their badges.
Fire Chief Bill Jones joined the audience in watching as Mayor Bobby Smith administered the oath to Fiffick, who was promoted from firefighter to lieutenant, and Minamyer, who was sworn in as a firefighter/EMT for the department.
Following the administration of the oath Fiffick's and Minamyer's wives Abby Fiffick and Courtney Minamyer proudly pinned their husbands' new badges on them.
