Beloit council meetings
The village of Beloit will hold a special meeting Monday at 6:45 p.m. to interview for a vacant council seat and to pass a resolution to appoint a representative to the 9-1-1 review committee. Action will be taken. The grants committee will meet afterwards, followed by the safety committee.
CWC membership drive
The Columbiana Women's Club (CWC) is holding a membership drive for $25 annually. Membership grants access to member-hosted clubs, events and activities that provide ways to share interests, develop new skills and support the community while sharing in the camaraderie of other women, including Green Thum Garden Club, Reader's Guild, Card Clubs, Garden Tours, Holiday Home Tours, Engaging Programs, Geranium and poinsettia sales and Planting Columbiana's Square. Additionally, members receive discounts on several CWC-hosted activities/events and rental of the CWC's historic home. Men are also welcome. Banquet in Salem
Salem Amvets Post 45 will sponsor the dine in or drive thru Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone Monday at the Salem Memorial Building. The menu will include sausage sandwiches with onions and peppers, scalloped potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, fresh vegetables and fruit, and cookies. Dine in will park in designated area and proceed to front door. Drive thru line up in lot behind the building; one meal per individuals in the vehicle. No parking in library lot. Columbiana First UMC soup sale
The deadline is Feb. 4 for pre-orders for the Columbianaa First UMC Soup Sale. Soups available for order include chicken noodle, stuffed pepper, ham and bean, vegetable, potatoe and chili. Pick will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at 210 S. Main St. To order call 330-482-2382.
