ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP -- Township trustees Monday unanimously approved temporary 2024 appropriations in the amount of $2,221,956.24.
The trustees also passed motions to approve the assurance of purchase orders totaling $177,241.12, the payment of bills totaling $282,801.76 and amended certificates in the amount of $40,000 to the police department and $1,560.67 to scrap metal.
Road Supervisor Scott Barrett told the trustees in his report that new and replacement speed limit signs were put up except for one.
There were no reports from the police or fire departments.
All township offices will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 in observance of Christmas and New Year's Day.
The trustees wished all the residents a very Merry Christmas.
The St. Clair Township trustees meet every other Monday at 4 p.m. in the Peter Metrovich Community Room located in the back of the Township Administration Building. Due to the next regular meeting day falling on a holiday the next meeting, which includes reorganization, will be held Dec. 30 at 8 a.m. The following meeting will be held as normal Jan. 13.
