Get a glimpse inside intricately decorated local homes this holiday season with the Holiday Home Tour on Dec. 16.

The self-guided tour is organized by the Columbiana Women’s Club and all proceeds benefit the civic organization with a long history in the city.

“I can’t think of a better way to get into the holiday spirit than by discovering the magic of the season as shared by our hostesses and the members of the Columbiana Women’s Club during our Holiday Home Tour,” Columbiana Women’s Club Board Member Pat Tingle said. “From cookies and collections at the Clubhouse to explorations of the five area homes, this is the quintessential way to start the holidays.”

Tickets to tour the homes are $20 per person, with advance purchase available at Willows by Wehr and Sitler the Printer, both located on East Park Avenue. Tickets can also be purchased the day of the tour at the Columbiana Women’s Club at 121 N. Main St. beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Women’s Club members can purchase tickets for $10.

The tour is scheduled from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and features two locations in Leetonia and three in Columbiana, with themes of Angels We Have Heard on High, and Santa, Trees and All the Trimmings in Leetonia; and a Homespun Christmas, an Evergreen Christmas, and Christmas Collections in Columbiana.

The Women’s Club headquarters, also known as the clubhouse, at 121 N. Main St. is also included in the tour, with festive decorations and cookies for guests.

The club has operated out of the century house on historic North Main Street for more than six decades, with improvements undertaken in 2017.

The non-profit organization also hosts a winter poinsettias sale to coincide with the city’s annual Christmas in Columbiana happenings.

In addition, the club also hosts annual summer and Christmas Tea & Tour events, Lunch & Learns, and serves as a meeting place for local garden clubs, card clubs, and more.

The clubhouse is available for rental to the public for book clubs, birthdays, showers, and other gatherings.
