The Brightside Project's eighth "Bright Christmas" was held Saturday in Salem. Toys, gifts, food and other items were distributed to over 600 children and their families. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus greeted children who then chose age-appropriate toys and gifts. The event was done through donations with help from many volunteers. The Brightside Project, under the direction of Scott Lewis and his daughter, Lisa, is a faith-based 501c3 organization based in Salem which provides services year-round to families throughout Columbiana County.
