Lake Mount Church GriefShare

Lake Mount Church of Christ, 6290 state Route 7, New Waterford, is hosting a Surviving the Holidays Session of GriefShare from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 11. This is a two-hour seminar and support group designed to help participants through the holidays after losing a loved one. This group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and want to help people through their difficult days ahead. Cost of the program is $10 to cover workbook and materials. Rescue Mission Thanksgiving

The Rescue Mission in Youngstown will serve a complete Thanksgiving meal Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, from 1 to 5 p.m. and again from 6 to 7 p.m. for the public. The prepared feast will be served at no charge in the dining hall of the Rescue Mission's Building located at 1300 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Donations to prepare and pay for the meal are now being accepted at the Mission. Most needed items include canned green beans, stove top stuffing, canned sweet potatoes and butter. Monetary donations are also needed. Farmer's NB Medicare event

Friends and Family Trivia Night

The East Palestine Community Foundation will host its 7th Friends and Family Trivia Night Nov. 18 at the East Palestine Park Community Center. Craft and vendor show

A craft and vendor show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at First Free Methodist Church, 16260 St. Clair Ave., East Liverpool. The kitchen will be open all day. Various crafts and vendors will be set up for shopping pleasure.

Wellsville Elks Thanksgiving

Wellsville Elks will be holding a free Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 19. All are welcome.

Mile Branch Grange soup sale

Mile Branch Grange, 495 Knox School Road, Alliance, will hold its monthly drive-thru soup sale from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 9. Cost is $8 per quart. This month's soups will be broccoli cheese and vegetable beef. Soup must be preordered by noon Nov. 8 at 330-821-8023; leave name, phone number, type of soup and number of quarts.

Camp in a Box Winter Survival

Wellsville Carnegie Public Library is hosting Camp in a Box Winter Survival, a five-session program at 11 a.m. the first Saturday of each month. The program includes videos, projects and experiments for grades kindergarten and up. Registration is required at 330-532-1526.

Social Concerns assistance

Social Concerns sign up for Christmas assistance will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon and 5 to 6 p.m. Nov. 6 at Centenary Methodist Church in East Palestine. Proof of residence is required.

Understanding Alzheimer's

Lepper Library in Lisbon will host Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia presented by Laura Cosentino of the Alzheimer's Association, Cleveland Area Chapter and Greater East Ohio Chapter at 4 p.m. Nov. 2. Learn about the impact of Alzheimer's, the difference between Alzheimer's and dementia, stages and risk factors, current research, and treatments available for symptoms, and Alzheimer's Association resources.
